Welcome to A Sip of Grace.

I have been married to my best friend, Steve, for over thirty years. We are blessed to have three adult children, and two grand-dogs. My mom is my role model; having recently celebrated her 80th birthday, she is involved in more activities than I can keep track of. As the middle child, sandwiched between my brother and sister, I am the self-proclaimed favorite. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, friend, thinker, gardener, and writer. All of my roles and identities influence my perspective and inspire my writing.

The golden rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, is my guiding principle. There is a special place in my heart for people who are overlooked, mistreated, or struggling. When I look into the eyes of a stranger, I see a version of myself or someone I love. A simple smile, a nod or any gesture of kindness can change the course of someone’s day. My hope is that I leave someone better than I found them, and simply being kind and extending grace, in my opinion, is the key.

Life in Writing

A Sip of Grace is a thoughtful exploration of human behavior, spiritual habits and customs, written with a spirit of love and a slight sense of humor. My purpose for this blog is to use my faith and life experiences to share a few words of inspiration and hope. People all around the globe are experiencing joy and sorrow, peace and conflict, abundance and scarcity, health and sickness, and oftentimes many who suffer, do so in silence.

My goal is to share my thoughts and observations with the hope that you will be inspired to extend grace to yourself, to the people you love, and to those you encounter on your daily journey.

Grace and Peace,

Teretha
